Product Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, in-office five days a week. Candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to the United States. Schedule: Monday–Friday with a very early morning start.

Salary: $140,000–$280,000 per year, depending on experience, plus performance bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Ship AI-powered product features end-to-end across frontend, backend, agents, and evaluation systems.
• Work directly with sales, service, and underwriting operators to identify workflow problems and build solutions.
• Build systems that trace decisions, capture outcomes, and improve through feedback from each interaction.
• Evaluate new AI models and capabilities, then apply them to production product features.
• Use AI coding tools and multiple coding sessions to prototype and deliver features quickly.
• Define metrics, track results, and present measurable business impact to the company.

Requirements

• Production software engineering experience; level is determined during the interview process.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Experience building and shipping AI-powered features such as LLM applications, agent pipelines, or workflow automation.
• Ability to work across frontend, backend, and the AI layer.
• Experience shipping AI to production for real users.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate; able to work on-site five days per week.

Nice to have

• Voice AI or real-time systems experience.
• Experience with RAG, agent frameworks, or evaluation systems.
• Background in operations tooling, sales technology, or workflow automation.
• Prior startup experience.
