Systems Engineer (Non IT) (Semiconductor)

Location: Rochester, NY, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance required weekly

Salary: $90,000–$148,000 per year, plus a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design and productize high-efficiency RF power equipment for thin-film semiconductor processing.
• Develop system-level specifications, architectures, and features based on internal and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on control architectures and system integration.
• Analyze system-level performance data and troubleshoot issues with customers and internal teams.
• Lead fault-tree, root-cause analysis, and FMEA activities to improve design reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, robotics, or a related technical or scientific discipline, plus 2+ years of experience including relevant projects, co-ops, or internships.
• Alternatively, an associate degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with advanced data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting technical material to broad audiences.
• Ability to work in person in Rochester on a weekly basis.

Nice to have

• Understanding of control systems concepts.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE, Agilent ADS, or Microwave Office.
• Curiosity and adaptability when supporting multiple efforts in a fast-paced environment.
