Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Runtime (C++)

What you will do

• Improve the redundant on-vehicle platform and autonomous software stack in collaboration with autonomy and runtime teams.
• Develop long-term software and hardware redundancy strategies and identify platform opportunities and gaps.
• Integrate and optimize autonomous software components and partner middleware within the autonomous driving stack.
• Design fault detection, fault handling, and validation strategies, including on-vehicle, SiL, and HiL testing.
• Own or support driverless operation features such as mission control and tele-assistance.
• Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System and drive quality and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with high-performance IPC or middleware stacks and performance troubleshooting, including profiling or roofline modeling.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, kernel and network tuning, device trees, time synchronization, and on-vehicle troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of computer vision and deep learning models, plus familiarity with CUDA, OpenCL, OpenVX, Halide, or other SIMD programming models.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision pipelines and model inference on edge platforms.
• Experience with ROS2 and DDS.
• Experience with automotive HPC SoCs, preferably Nvidia.
• Experience with QNX.
