Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services that integrate with the existing microservice ecosystem.
• Contribute to technology stack decisions and apply reliability and availability best practices.
• Explore and solve open-ended problems spanning backend systems and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain production-grade, readable, maintainable, and testable Python code.
• Work with cloud services, databases, messaging systems, monitoring, and CI/CD infrastructure.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend programming experience.
• Mandatory professional experience with Python.
• Understanding of algorithms and databases.
• Experience with microservice architecture and highly distributed systems.
• Experience with a cloud infrastructure provider such as AWS or GCP.
• Willingness to learn and evolve.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment service providers.
• Knowledge of frontend development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience in a startup, scaleup, technology, or app environment.
