Senior Rust Developer (HPC)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software libraries and features using Rust.
• Build and maintain CLI and REST API interfaces for internal and customer-facing tools.
• Develop and integrate telemetry, observability, and monitoring solutions to improve product reliability.
• Write unit tests, functional tests, and automation scripts to ensure robust deliverables.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Assist in debugging and resolving complex customer escalations and performance issues.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in Linux system environments with deep understanding of Linux internals.
• Strong professional experience in Rust.
• 3+ years of experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building telemetry and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong experience developing command-line tools and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Must be able to work on-site in Pune.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of parallel file systems such as IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) or Lustre.
• Experience with bash, Lua, and automation scripting.
• Prior exposure to Agile software development processes.
