Principal Software Engineer I

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems.
• Develop high-quality software aligned with coding, industry, and organizational standards.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Research, analyze, document findings, and support engineering teams.
• Review code and tests, participate in software certification, and help improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Coach and review the work of other team members when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of the applicable work area and strong knowledge of programming languages and software fundamentals.
• Experience with version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.
• Ability to manage projects and competing priorities independently with limited supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills.
