Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Own production process integrity from prototype builds through full-rate manufacturing.
• Define and implement reliable, repeatable hardware build processes, tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids.
• Participate in prototype and production builds, validate processes, and resolve manufacturing issues on the production floor.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective and preventive actions for production failures and field returns.
• Collaborate with design engineering on DFM, DFA, and design-for-reliability improvements.
• Partner with contract manufacturers and internal teams to scale production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or reliability engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability hardware.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or similar software.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electromechanical system builds and test setups.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, root cause analysis, FMEA/PFMEA, SPC, and reliability and quality methodologies.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD compliance, ERP/MRP systems, and PLM systems.
