Principal Field Applications Engineer (PCIe)

What you will do

• Support cloud service providers, server OEMs, and network OEMs in designing solutions using connectivity products.
• Identify customer requirements and propose solutions that deliver clear customer value.
• Provide hands-on design-in support and debug customer systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate customer requirements into the product roadmap.
• Travel frequently to customer sites, including business travel across Asia and North America.

Requirements

• BS in electrical engineering; a master's degree in engineering is preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience designing complex SoC or silicon products for server, storage, or networking applications with cloud service providers and server OEMs.
• Fluent Mandarin and English.
• Hands-on knowledge of PCIe and Ethernet, high-speed board design, silicon or system bring-up, and customer-system debugging.
• Experience with protocol analyzers, traffic generators, oscilloscopes, and other high-speed lab equipment.
• Intermediate Python proficiency for system validation and link optimization, plus embedded firmware debugging at the SerDes, SoC, or MCU level.

Nice to have

• Experience with 12G NRZ signaling; 25G NRZ or 56G PAM4 experience is preferred.
• Experience developing or supporting PCIe ICs.
• Experience debugging or developing firmware, drivers, and BIOS using PCIe technology.
