TL;DR
Associate Ground & Flight Test Engineer (Integration & Safety) (Aerospace): Supporting ground and flight test campaigns for the Space-Based Interceptor program with an accent on test planning, hardware/software integration, requirements traceability, and system safety. Focus on developing test procedures, coordinating readiness reviews, investigating anomalies, and contributing to hazard and range safety documentation for high-consequence aerospace systems.

Location: Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA; onsite work with significant and extended travel to U.S. factories, facilities, suppliers, and test ranges

Salary: $80,000–$160,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of ground and flight test campaigns for the Space-Based Interceptor program.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, schedules, and requirements-traceability documentation.
  • Support integration across hardware, software, and ground support equipment, including interface verification and readiness tracking.
  • Contribute to hazard analyses, System Safety Plans, and Range Safety documentation.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews, safety reviews, data collection, and anomaly investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience or coursework in test planning, procedure development, test execution, hardware/software integration, system safety, hazard analysis, or requirements traceability.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance and meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to missile defense, interceptor, space, or highly integrated aerospace flight programs.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-1540, Range Commanders Council safety standards, or equivalent standards.
  • Experience with test readiness reviews, safety review boards, anomaly investigations, V&V methodologies, or requirements management tools.
  • Experience interfacing with U.S. Government customers or range safety organizations.
