Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, United States. Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical assistance with implementing, using, and extending the ION manufacturing platform.
• Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and develop tailored software solutions.
• Build custom web applications and work with large-scale data to solve customer-facing problems.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code across the stack.
• Own end-to-end delivery of high-stakes projects and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Improve the product by communicating customer feedback and requirements to the hirify.global team.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, physics, data science, or a related field.
• Experience shipping production-quality code.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in dynamic environments and build relationships with customers and leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites.
• U.S. work authorization is required; hirify.global participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, product management, or as a lead engineer.
• Experience with Python and/or React with TypeScript.
• Experience or interest in using large-scale data for customer-facing problems.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
