What you will do

  • Design and analyze mechanical systems for a greenfield uranium enrichment facility from concept through commissioning.
  • Own HVAC systems, central plant systems including chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers, plus ductwork and piping distribution sizing.
  • Prepare permit-level design packages in Revit and produce drawing sets using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Develop calculations, specifications, and technical reports to validate safe, compliant, and performant designs.
  • Collaborate with structural, architectural, electrical, chemical, internal, and external engineering partners.
  • Support vendor activities, troubleshooting, feasibility studies, scope definition, and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience with HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fast-paced, highly technical, consulting, or large-scale mission-critical construction environments.
  • Working knowledge of power coordination and arc flash.
  • Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) knowledge.
  • Experience developing custom details and applying local or state code requirements.
  • Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, portfolios, or completed products.
