Director of Financial Control

What you will do

• Establish a scalable group financial control framework supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting across international entities.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and audit-ready financial processes in preparation for potential public-market requirements.
• Standardize accounting policies and reporting practices across jurisdictions and currencies.
• Improve the global month-end close process while maintaining financial accuracy and audit readiness.
• Partner on ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives to improve automation, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
• Build and lead a high-performing global finance control team with clear processes and accountability.

Requirements

• 12–18+ years of progressive accounting and financial control experience in international organizations.
• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Extensive experience with group consolidation and financial reporting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and complex technical accounting topics.
• Experience building or scaling finance functions in high-growth environments and establishing internal control frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing organizations for SOX compliance, IPO readiness, or public-company environments.
• Background in healthcare, medical technology, SaaS, AI, or another regulated industry.
• Big Four training or equivalent professional-services experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP and finance-system transformations.
• Experience building and leading international finance teams.
