Location: Remote (USA). Candidates within 50 miles of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford, or Mountain View are expected to report to the office at least 3 times a week.

Salary: $134,000 – $235,900

What you will do

• Develop ML and RL models to simulate road users (vehicles, pedestrians, bikers) for AV training and testing.
• Design and optimize training loops and streamline integration for production model deployment.
• Build scalable ML infrastructure, metrics, and data pipelines to enable rapid experimentation cycles.
• Collaborate with Behavior, Perception, and Safety teams to refine AV driving policies.
• Apply strong software engineering expertise to accelerate project timelines for Autopilot and Lane Keep technologies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in robotics or latency-sensitive backend services.
• Proven experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong programming proficiency in modern C++ or Python.
• Experience building highly performant ML and system pipelines.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with CPU/GPU profiling, process scheduling, and prioritization.
• Track record of deploying perception, prediction, or AV models into real-world environments.
• Expertise in designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and extensible architectures across multiple systems.
• Ability to balance coding, technical design, strategy, and mentorship.
