Senior UX Accessibility Lead (AI)

Location: San Bruno, California, United States

Salary: $115,500–$173,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead accessibility strategy across the UX organization from discovery and concepting through design critiques and product launch.
• Define inclusive interaction patterns and evaluation frameworks for conversational, voice, multimodal, and agentic AI experiences.
• Partner with UX Research to conduct inclusive research with assistive technology users and people with disabilities.
• Establish accessible component standards, annotations, and documentation for the design system and engineering handoffs.
• Educate and mentor cross-functional teams through accessibility playbooks and training.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in accessible interaction design and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA, including screen readers, keyboard and focus behavior, semantic structure, assistive technologies, and cognitive accessibility.
• Ability to design and evaluate accessible AI-powered experiences with strong judgment around transparency, user control, correction, error recovery, and exclusion risks.
• Strong accessibility evaluation and inclusive usability research skills, including expert review, assistive technology testing, automated testing, and research with people with disabilities.
• Ability to scale accessibility through design systems, reusable patterns, standards, tooling, and cross-functional influence.
• Strong product and interaction design judgment.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, UX research, accessibility, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing or evaluating AI-powered or AI-native experiences, including conversational UX, voice, multimodal interfaces, or AI agents.
• Experience developing accessibility frameworks, benchmarks, quality standards, or reusable patterns for AI-enabled products.
• Hands-on experience with assistive technologies and research with people with disabilities.
• Experience scaling accessibility in large or complex product organizations.
