Robotics Localization and Mapping Engineer

What you will do

• Track state-of-the-art localization algorithms, focusing on LiDAR and visual-inertial odometry.
• Study and assist with localization and mapping algorithms based on EKF and other filtering techniques.
• Implement computationally efficient odometry systems for autonomous ground vehicles.
• Test different methods, evaluate results, document findings, and identify solutions to technical problems.
• Design and develop robotics software.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or master's studies in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong familiarity with localization algorithms, including feature extraction, semantic segmentation, and full SLAM techniques.
• Experience with probabilistic robotics and sensor-related robotics research.
• Experience with C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
• Flexible problem-solving approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS or similar middleware.
• Knowledge of data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with real-world robotics deployment and sensor calibration.
• Experience with both computer vision and LiDAR.
• Experience with machine learning or GPU programming.
