Founding Product Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco; on-site. The role requires travel to customer locations.

What you will do

• Conduct workflow discovery with dispatchers, drivers, and operations teams at customer sites.
• Convert customer conversations and field insights into a clear, prioritized product roadmap.
• Write product specifications and partner with engineering to scope builds, set timelines, and unblock delivery.
• Lead customer implementation relationships from post-sale through go-live and expansion.
• Validate and refine features directly with customers while closing product gaps quickly.
• Build AI workflows that automate and scale product management activities.

Requirements

• Started as a software engineer and transitioned into product management, with real engineering depth.
• 5+ years of combined engineering and product experience, including 2+ years in product management.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to turn customer conversations into clear product decisions.
• Comfort working with non-technical operators, executives, sales engineers, account executives, and engineering teams.
• Adaptable, low-ego, and comfortable operating without a defined process.
• Willingness to travel on-site to customer locations and work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Background in logistics, trucking, fleet management, or supply chain software.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms, ELD systems, or dispatch software.
• Experience with AI/ML products, especially conversational AI or agent-based systems.
• Experience in professional services, implementation, or customer success engineering.
