Firmware Validation Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead firmware validation for individual vehicle components and complete airframe systems.
• Collaborate with firmware, avionics, manufacturing, and flight operations teams to support high-quality firmware releases.
• Design and execute component-level and system-level test specifications, including nominal and fault-injection scenarios.
• Develop and run Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation tests.
• Investigate and reproduce issues identified during simulation and flight-test operations.
• Improve validation tooling and reduce iteration times across current and future airframe variants.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Knowledge of C++, embedded Linux, and ARM-based embedded systems.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or other embedded GPU platforms.
• Experience with embedded firmware systems, drones, defense applications, or guidance, navigation, and control.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to access technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without requiring export-license sponsorship.
