Head, Innovation Hubs

Location: Lagos, Nigeria, with responsibility for innovation hubs at OAU, UNN, and ABU

What you will do

• Design the operating model for three cross-disciplinary university innovation hubs, including cohort structure, learning progression, assessment, and certification.
• Own senior relationships with university leadership, faculty representatives, student bodies, government stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Build engagement models that attract and retain students from engineering, sciences, humanities, business, and design faculties.
• Develop a network of engineers, product leaders, and founders to mentor, assess, and hire hub graduates.
• Recruit facilitators and on-ground hub teams while establishing consistent teaching and assessment standards across all sites.
• Manage physical infrastructure, vendors, timelines, budgets, staffing, outcomes, and integration with hirify.global Academy and other talent pathways.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years leading programmes, teams, and budgets end to end.
• Experience building or leading a technical training or workforce development programme at scale, preferably across multiple sites.
• Experience designing operating models from zero, hiring teams, managing technical educators, and maintaining consistent quality standards.
• Senior-level institutional relationship management across universities, government bodies, and industry partners; familiarity with Nigerian university administration is valuable.
• Technical fluency in engineering education and employer requirements across software, AI, product, and data science, without a requirement to write code.
• Strong focus on measurable outcomes, including completion, graduate quality, job placement, and employer satisfaction.

Nice to have

• Experience in edtech, developer education, university-industry partnerships, or workforce development.
• Experience building a programme from scratch and owning it through measurable outcomes.
