TL;DR
Sr Accountant (US GAAP): Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes for sales and marketing expenses, debt, and prepaids with an accent on journal entries, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and internal controls. Focus on applying U.S. GAAP, improving accounting procedures, supporting new business initiatives, and working with the U.S. Corporate Accounting team during Eastern Time hours.

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; availability for work will be in Eastern Time (ET)

What you will do

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for accrued sales and marketing expenses, debt, and prepaids.
  • Support monthly close, quarterly and annual accounting processes, and internal reporting.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly account fluctuations and support recurring transaction analysis.
  • Help ensure financial statements and accounting processes comply with U.S. GAAP.
  • Complete internal controls, improve accounting procedures, and support new business initiatives and accounting projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3–4 years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience at SEC-registered entities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and especially Excel.
  • Availability to work in Eastern Time (ET).

Nice to have

  • MSA or MBA.
  • Experience with SAP.
