Fixed Asset Accounting

Location: Hybrid in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico

What you will do

• Manage fixed asset master data, capitalization, useful lives, depreciation runs, and related analyses.
• Process acquisitions, transfers, disposals, retirements, write-offs, and intercompany or intracompany asset transfers.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledger and general ledger balances, including Assets Under Construction.
• Prepare fixed asset reports, roll-forwards, depreciation analyses, and support physical asset inventories.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, internal controls, and internal and external audits.
• Maintain process documentation and collaborate with accounting, project management, procurement, and other stakeholders on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferably 2–4 years of experience in fixed assets accounting, finance operations, or related accounting functions.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP and their application to fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and a good understanding of SAP business processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and verbal, is required.
