Technical Consultant (Public Sector, AI)

Location: Denver, Colorado; the role is based at the headquarters in McLean, Virginia and requires in-office work 4–5 days per week. U.S. citizenship is required for this public-sector role.

Base salary: $75,000–$175,000 USD per year, plus potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define, design, develop, and implement custom software solutions on the hirify.global platform.
• Work across the full project lifecycle with customers to understand business processes and technical requirements.
• Launch relational data models in production and develop integrations through REST, SOAP, JDBC, and web services APIs.
• Identify AI use cases and implement RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative AI tools.
• Collaborate with client technical teams and business users in an agile development environment.
• Support customer adoption by helping users become self-sufficient in building process applications.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship for consideration for public-sector projects.
• At least 1 year of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
• B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience gathering functional and technical requirements and defining business processes with clients.
• Basic object-oriented programming knowledge, relational database design, data modeling, and SQL skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% annually for customer engagements.

Nice to have

• Experience with test-driven development, automated test suites, and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, AI, analytics, machine learning, application integration, developer tools, governance, and elastic containers.
