Senior Software Engineer, Embedded Software (AUTOSAR)

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Integrate CAN DBCs from vehicle platforms and sensors into the AUTOSAR communication stack.
• Maintain autonomous safety features and design UDS, DEM, DTC, and event-chain diagnostic capabilities.
• Integrate new vehicle platforms and actuators, including sensor and ECU flashing, configuration, troubleshooting, data collection, and parameter tuning.
• Create and execute vehicle tests, development tests, and testing campaigns for internal and customer requirements.
• Support on-demand troubleshooting of vehicle and system issues reported by partners, testing, operations, and diagnostic tools.
• Travel up to 50% to partner proving grounds for on-vehicle testing and validation.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, Linux, and Git development workflows.
• Hands-on experience with real-time operating systems, embedded software best practices, and AUTOSAR.
• Experience with embedded debugging tools such as Lauterbach and iSystem, and Vector tools including CANalyzer and CANoe.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, SPI, Ethernet, UDS, and J1939; hands-on experience with DTC, UDS, AUTOSAR DEM, and diagnostic event chains for autonomous or ADAS systems.
• Willingness to travel and work around Class-8 commercial vehicles.

Nice to have

• Python and C++ programming experience.
• Understanding of autonomous driving software stacks and camera, lidar, radar, GPS, and IMU sensors.
• Experience with vehicle harnesses, Infineon Aurix MCUs, and automotive high-performance SoC systems.
