What you will do

• Develop and maintain infotainment UI applications using modern C++.
• Implement scalable and adaptive UI frameworks across multiple vehicle programs.
• Debug rendering issues, startup performance, and IPC communication.
• Integrate vehicle signals and services (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) into UI applications.
• Collaborate with UX, Product, and System Engineering teams for feature bring-up on QNX, Linux, and Android.
• Optimize memory usage and startup time while participating in CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering embedded or system-level software in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17).
• Experience with graphics frameworks such as Qt/QML, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Skia.
• Knowledge of ECUs and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Austin, TX, Mountain View, CA, or Warren, MI for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Kotlin, or Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Unreal Engine or 3D display rendering.
• Familiarity with automotive debugging tools like CANoe or VehicleSpy.
• Prior experience in RTOS or infotainment contexts.
