Staff Product Manager (Wallet Authentication)

Location: Mountain View, California or McLean, Virginia; full-time in-office attendance required

Annual base salary: $214,935–$253,000 USD for Mountain View, CA

What you will do

• Define and own the roadmap for authentication flows, fraud prevention, wallet recovery, email lifecycle management, and machine-to-machine authentication.
• Lead first-factor and second-factor experiences, including passwordless authentication, passkeys, silent network authentication, and identifier-based flows.
• Define secure, scalable authentication requirements for API consumers, AI agents, MCP servers, and third-party integrations.
• Translate threat intelligence into fraud prevention requirements covering credential stuffing, real-time risk signals, wallet suspension, and fraud rule governance.
• Develop the product vision for automated wallet recovery and measure its effect on member experience and operational costs.
• Coordinate Engineering, Security, Member Support, Risk & Fraud, Design, GTM, and executive stakeholders while monitoring product metrics.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning authentication, identity, or security platform products.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, FIDO2/WebAuthn, SAML, and TOTP.
• Experience with API authentication patterns such as API keys, OAuth client credentials, and mTLS, plus authentication for AI agents or autonomous systems.
• Experience shipping products with security and compliance dependencies and leading architectural discussions with Principal Engineers.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, data-driven prioritization, and cross-functional platform and application team collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NIST 800-63-4 identity assurance frameworks and AAL/IAL requirements.
