Location: Troy, Michigan, United States; permanent US work authorization required. Regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00amβ3:30pm EST, with up to 10% travel.

What you will do
- Assist with the development and build of engineering test vehicles.
- Maintain prototype builds, diagnose and rectify issues, and conduct experiments, diagnostics, calibrations, and investigations.
- Inspect and modify designs and prototypes using CAD software, incorporating engineering feedback.
- Fabricate components from various materials and maintain shop tools, equipment, and company fleet vehicles.
- Track open issues, collect build data, prepare reports and presentations, and coordinate issue resolution across engineering and assembly teams.
- Follow shop safety requirements and improve vehicle assembly methods, efficiency, and work processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a prototype engineering technician, preferably with hybrid or electric vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electric vehicles and systems, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- At least one of the following: an accredited associateβs degree, an automotive vocational program, ASE Master Technician Certification, or an automotive OEM Master Technician Certification.
- Proficiency in electrical schematics, basic electrical theory, vehicle diagnostics, and ECU troubleshooting on CAN and LIN buses.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and fabricating parts and components.
- Valid driverβs license and permanent authorization to work in the United States required; visa sponsorship is not available.

- Previous automotive OEM experience.
- Experience with CAD, Polarion, and automotive regulatory requirements.
