Gen AI Engineer / Architect (Healthcare)

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Identify and shape high-value GenAI and automation use cases across healthcare and medtech service lines.
• Lead discovery workshops, process walkthroughs, requirements sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Translate business needs into solution options, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and architecture inputs.
• Design and implement solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector search, document intelligence, OCR, workflow orchestration, and API integrations.
• Build scalable document-intelligence pipelines for PDFs, images, and structured or unstructured content.
• Define target-state architecture, guardrails, observability, deployment requirements, testing approaches, and production-readiness plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in solution engineering, architecture, or consulting, including meaningful AI/GenAI delivery experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python, enterprise integration patterns, LLM platforms such as Azure OpenAI or OpenAI, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases or search, document AI/OCR, and API-led integration.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process analysis, user story creation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Agile delivery and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar, plus strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, medtech, life sciences, payer, provider, diagnostics, or other regulated-environment experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, GxP/GMP, FDA-regulated environments, privacy, quality, validation, and audit requirements.
• Exposure to Azure and AWS, enterprise search, multilingual content, translation services, analytics, and workflow automation.
• Experience with client consulting engagements, operating models, and value case development.
