AI Strategist (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, with 3+ days per week in-office from Tuesday through Thursday; ability to travel 50% required.

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, location, and level, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead AI solutioning throughout healthcare pre-sales engagements, from discovery through deal close.
• Diagnose customer problems and identify high-value AI use cases across utilization management, care management, cost of care, claims, and member or provider communications.
• Conduct technical discovery, define solution architectures and feasibility, and collaborate with engineering on system design and implementation tradeoffs.
• Build rapid demos and proof-of-concept solutions on the Distillery platform, including scope, success criteria, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Create customer-facing storylines, decks, ROI materials, demo scripts, competitive positioning documents, and reusable go-to-market assets.
• Maintain account documentation and ensure clean knowledge transfer to the expansion team.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, product management, technical growth, chief of staff, or a similar business-and-technology role.
• Deep, direct experience with healthcare operations, including payer operations, provider workflows, health technology, utilization management, care management, claims, or networks.
• Technical undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a similar field.
• Hands-on experience designing and building GenAI solutions using LLM pipelines, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, or similar technologies.
• Ability to prototype workflows, query datasets with Python and SQL, navigate complex enterprise data, and communicate fluently about system design and API architecture.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, executive presentation, problem-solving, and ownership skills; comfortable engaging with VP and C-level healthcare executives.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare-specific data formats.
• Knowledge of NCQA, CMS guidelines, or clinical documentation requirements.
