Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite five days per week. Approximately 25–30% travel is expected, primarily within Southern California, including recurring overnight stays at remote test sites and other project locations.
Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus potential stock options and company benefits.

is a vertically integrated space and defense company developing hardware for low-Earth-orbit missions, including satellite buses, in-orbit servicing robotics, and mission systems.
What you will do
- Own facility strategy and execution across offices, engineering and manufacturing environments, remote test sites, and facilities supporting U.S. government programs.
- Translate technical and operational needs into infrastructure decisions covering power, HVAC, utilities, equipment, safety, security, laboratories, manufacturing areas, and test environments.
- Lead site selection, due diligence, leases, renovations, buildouts, permitting, inspections, construction, commissioning, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Manage facility-side regulatory, permitting, environmental, fire and life safety, hazardous-material, explosives, and security requirements.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, landlords, utilities, regulatory authorities, government stakeholders, and security teams while managing budgets and schedules.
- Inspect sites and construction, review drawings and bids, investigate infrastructure problems, and drive issues through closure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in facilities, construction, industrial infrastructure, facilities engineering, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
- Experience leading significant facility buildouts, expansions, relocations, test-site development, or infrastructure projects in aerospace, defense, propulsion, robotics, advanced manufacturing, automotive, energy, or laboratory environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical power, HVAC, utilities, building systems, permitting, inspections, and construction.
- Experience with explosives, energetic materials, hazardous materials, or similarly regulated operations is required.
- Experience with U.S. government security requirements, including classified or cleared environments, physical security, controlled access, and security-stakeholder coordination.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance may be required.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling facilities at an early-stage hardware company.
- Experience with remote test sites, field facilities, government sites, or highly regulated locations.
- Experience with machine shops, laboratories, clean or controlled areas, high-power equipment, environmental testing, or propulsion test infrastructure.
- General Contractor license, PE, PMP, or another relevant professional qualification.

Hiring process
