What you will do

  • Develop, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles.
  • Configure, check out, and operate vehicle avionics systems and related facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Lead testing projects for avionics and electrical systems.
  • Develop Concept of Operations documents and Human-Machine Interfaces for ground and vehicle electrical hardware.
  • Author, review, and execute operations procedures.
  • Mentor and train Integrated Operations operators on avionics and electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering design, testing, and/or operations with a focus on electrical or software engineering.
  • Experience with avionics and electrical system configuration, checkout, and operations.
  • For U.S. office roles, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated technology is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or the required government authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with launch vehicles or spacecraft, including integration, testing, launch, or mission operations.
  • Experience with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Software development experience with web-based tools such as HTML and XML.
  • Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, packet switching, and routing.
  • Knowledge of or experience with electrical systems.
