Expert Business Planner (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Diego, California; on-site Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at the Rancho Bernardo office.

Salary: $96,614–$128,820 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual corporate bonus plan.

What you will do

• Own the quarterly sales quota process at the model level across an expansive retail network.
• Track KPIs, maintain reporting source files, and conduct ad hoc analysis for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Identify and implement improvements to data collection, sharing, and consumption using AI-driven tools and automation.
• Support testing of new technology implemented by systems integration teams and train colleagues on planning tools and processes.
• Act as the primary contact for Sales inquiries about targets and quota methodology.
• Back up the Planning Lead and prepare for weekly management meetings.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in business planning, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Expert proficiency in Power BI and Power Query.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and detail-management skills.
• Ability to explain data and methodology to non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with sales quota setting, statistics, financial planning, or management-level meetings.
• Ability to build Power Automate flows and working knowledge of API calls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Exposure to AI tools and platforms used in data or reporting workflows.
