Head of Card Operations (Fintech)

Location: Philippines; ready to relocate to Manila. The first three months onsite are required for work visa processing, followed by a hybrid-first setup.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end card operations, including issuing, acquiring, processor management, card scheme operations, reconciliation, settlements, chargebacks, and disputes.
• Build reconciliation for a new card processor and establish reconciliation across the ATM network, machines, cash-in-transit partner, payment networks, and customer accounts.
• Take over live processes without incidents, operational gaps, or service interruptions.
• Manage processors and card schemes, including SLAs and escalations.
• Work with Product and Engineering on operational requirements for new card and ATM flows, and communicate with the regulator in English.
• Hire, onboard, manage, motivate, and retain a Philippines-based operations team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in card operations, including experience in international fintech, digital banking, or payment processing.
• Hands-on experience with card reconciliation, settlements, chargebacks, disputes, issuing, or acquiring at real transaction volume.
• Experience hiring, building, and scaling an operations team.
• Experience working with distributed, multicultural teams.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Relocation to Manila is required; the first three months onsite are needed for work visa processing.
