Procurement Category Manager - Logistics

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Own category strategy for ground, air, and ocean transportation, warehousing, RMA/VMI/LC services, and brokerage.
• Lead end-to-end RFx activities, including supplier engagement, bid analysis, negotiations, and award recommendations using eSourcing tools.
• Analyze spend, business requirements, and market trends to identify savings, improve value, and mitigate supply and service risks.
• Manage supplier selection, qualification, governance, KPI performance, reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Report category performance, risks, market developments, supplier scorecards, and business review outcomes to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or logistics-related roles.
• Experience leading RFx events and supplier negotiations for services categories.
• Ability to independently manage a defined category end to end and handle multiple priorities.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience using eSourcing tools.
• Master’s degree.
