VP of Engineering, Platform & Operations

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $345,000–$404,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Platform & Operations Engineering organization and define technical strategy and execution across hirify.global Group.
• Own multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure, GCP, and AWS, including consolidation, Kubernetes/AKS, Kafka, Redis, networking, observability, SRE, and infrastructure cost optimization.
• Lead courier marketplace, ETA, fulfillment orchestration, and real-time dispatch platforms across hirify.global and Grubhub.
• Build AI-first developer tooling, CI/CD, internal platforms, and capabilities that improve engineering productivity.
• Own shared frontend components and design systems across hirify.global, Blue Apron, and Grubhub.
• Lead care automation, merchant systems, POS integrations, reporting, and Salesforce customer lifecycle technology.

Requirements

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years leading infrastructure or platform engineering organizations at Senior Director level.
• Experience owning high-availability production platforms at scale and preparing infrastructure for IPO-level operational maturity and audit readiness.
• Deep production experience with Azure, GCP, and AWS, plus Kubernetes/AKS, Kafka, observability, and SRE practices.
• Experience improving developer productivity, building internal developer platforms, recruiting senior engineers, and developing high-output organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
