TL;DR
Reliability Engineer, Power Modules and AI Applications (Semiconductor Reliability): Developing reliability strategies, qualification plans, experiments, and failure-analysis workflows for power module devices used in AI data centers with an accent on Design for Reliability, statistical validation, and IC/package qualification. Focus on designing mission-profile experiments, analyzing reliability data with JMP and ReliaSoft, driving root-cause investigations, and validating corrective actions for SiC and GaN products.

Location: San Jose, CA or Kirkland, WA

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

  • Develop reliability strategies and methodologies for power module devices supporting AI data center applications.
  • Design experiments to validate hardware against intended use profiles and reliability targets.
  • Evaluate reliability risks and implement mitigation strategies through Design for Reliability activities.
  • Co-lead reliability test planning and monitor qualification progress at IC and module levels.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for reliability failures and validate corrective actions before product release.
  • Maintain reliability database infrastructure and analyze data for internal and external quality-assurance communications.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability testing and qualification of IC devices and packages to AEC/JEDEC standards.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis using JMP and Weibull methods.
  • Experience with failure-analysis tools including SEM, CSAM, X-ray, OBIRCH, or TIVA.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device structures and physics, especially SiC and GaN.
  • Experience supporting customers.
