Financial Controller (VC or Hedge Fund - Investment Accountant) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and supporting reports under IFRS and US GAAP.
• Manage accounting operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including payables, receivables, accruals, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Coordinate external audits, provide supporting documentation, resolve issues, and support regulatory, tax, statutory, and ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks while driving process and workflow improvements.
• Improve efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy through technology, automation, financial systems, and reporting infrastructure.
• Partner with operations on financial data integrity and support financial analysis, projects, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, ACA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
• 10+ years of experience in financial control, audit, or accounting, preferably at a credit hedge fund.
• Proficiency in Xero and the Enfusion portfolio management system.
• Proficiency in Excel and VBA or Python is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and tax requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in digital assets or blockchain ecosystems.
