IT Manager (Robotics)

hirify.global is a high-growth Series A startup and ETH Zurich spin-out developing autonomous robots from heavy construction machines using Physical AI, learning-based automation, and augmented remote control.

What you will do

• Build the IT infrastructure from the ground up, including the IT roadmap, standards, documentation, and growth plans.
• Administer office and test-site infrastructure, including networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls, servers, phones, and printers.
• Manage hardware procurement and the full lifecycle of laptops and other equipment, while providing employee IT support.
• Administer Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, user accounts, access permissions, MFA, and endpoint security.
• Manage the internal VPN and AWS cloud resources, including access, security, cost, and usage.
• Own backups, recovery, business continuity, vendors, contracts, licenses, renewals, and the IT budget while coordinating with Platform and cybersecurity teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT system engineering, administration, generalist, or hybrid support and infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on Linux administration experience.
• Experience administering SaaS and identity platforms such as Google Workspace, GitHub, and Jira, including permissions and MFA.
• Experience with hardware procurement and lifecycle management, network and VPN infrastructure, vendor contracts, or budgets.
• Ability to own both the strategic roadmap and day-to-day support as the sole IT owner.
• English proficiency is required for communication and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics or field and test-site IT environments.
• Experience with Ansible or other configuration-management tools.
• Familiarity with information security management systems, ISO 27001, GDPR, or related EU legislation.
• Experience balancing delivery speed and security in a startup environment.
