What you will do

• Execute the monthly close process and produce monthly financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, and other financial operations.
• Produce quarterly financial reporting, including plan-to-actual analysis.
• Update the corporate forecast with the finance team each quarter.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis for leadership initiatives.
• Improve financial operations processes and develop a six-person accounting team.

Requirements

• At least four years of public accounting experience.
• End-to-end ownership of the month-end close process for a hardware company.
• Experience creating and continuously improving operational processes.
• Experience compiling financial details into comprehensive executive summaries.

Nice to have

• Experience in a public-company SOX environment.
• Startup experience and experience implementing finance-related software tools.
• Experience in fusion, energy, aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing.
• Experience working with PhD scientists and R&D technology organizations.
