Compliance Specialist

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid with 3 days in the office. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Salary: $47,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Review and approve educator profiles, verifying background checks, references, immunizations, training certifications, and other documentation.
• Run criminal background checks and regular compliance audits.
• Collaborate with the Compliance team to develop and implement policies protecting students and schools.
• Promote a culture of compliance across the organization.

Requirements

• Be self-motivated, highly organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Be comfortable with technology and proficient in tools such as Google Suite.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate a passion for child safety in education and secure, supportive learning environments.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a compliance or administrative role.
