Quarantine Sampling Technician

Location: Onsite in New Jersey, United States

Salary: $19.50–$24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Collect representative samples of incoming raw materials and packaging components according to approved procedures.
• Verify material identity, lot numbers, status labels, and documentation before sampling.
• Apply aseptic and contamination-control techniques, label samples, and complete sampling records.
• Move materials between quarantine, approved, and rejected areas and operate a forklift to place approved materials into inventory.
• Maintain sampling and quarantine areas, support cycle counts, and reconcile inventory.
• Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Understanding of cGMP requirements and Good Documentation Practices.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow written procedures independently.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate with Production, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, and Laboratory personnel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, access storage areas, and wear required PPE throughout the workday.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, OTC drug, cosmetic, dietary supplement, food, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with raw material, packaging component, water, or environmental monitoring sampling.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or another ERP system.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
