Lab Technician

TL;DR

Lab Technician: Performing laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials and intermediate products to ensure quality control and process optimization within a quartz processing facility with an accent on particle size analysis, color analysis, and equipment maintenance. Focus on collecting samples, conducting precise tests, documenting results accurately, and communicating non-conforming materials.

Onsite Randolph, MN (initial in-person training at Le Sueur, MN facility)

Starting hourly range: $17.15 - $20.04 (+ $1,000 sign-on bonus)

What you will do

• Collect samples of raw materials and intermediate products per sampling procedures
• Conduct lab tests including particle size analysis (sieve, laser diffraction) and color analysis
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Input raw material status into Oracle system and complete paperwork timely
• Communicate test results, handle non-conforming materials, and report issues at shift transitions
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety SOPs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Industrial work experience
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and write in English for documentation
• Acquire and retain safety certifications
• Physical: lift 60 lbs, push/pull 100 lbs, stand 12 hours, work outdoors/all weather, handle chemicals, wear PPE (steel-toed boots, respirator - clean-shaven required)
