PMTS Application Engineering (RISC-V)

Location: Seoul, South Korea. The role requires up to 30% travel within Korea.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers during pre-sales and early development.
• Help engineering teams evaluate and adopt RISC-V processor IP, software toolchains, development environments, and system architectures.
• Support technical discussions, proposals, RFIs, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and customer training to secure design wins.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate complex technical resolutions with internal engineering teams.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams.
• Support ecosystem partners and help position processor solutions within Korea’s semiconductor ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in SoC or ASIC design and architecture.
• Good understanding of RISC and DSP processor architectures.
• Customer-facing pre-sales experience, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within Korea.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple SoC design stages, from architecture definition and Verilog RTL coding through synthesis and physical design.
• Hands-on embedded systems, debugging, or firmware/software development experience.
• Knowledge of DSP algorithms for wireless communication, LiDAR/RADAR, image processing, or advanced sensors.
• Understanding of AI/ML system design, automotive functional safety, and secure SoC design standards.
