Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, or New York City
Salary: $100K–$180K per year

is an applied AI lab building a large-scale search engine with web-crawling infrastructure, embedding models, and high-performance vector databases.
What you will do
- Build the sourcing function from scratch, including outbound sequencing, messaging, and introductory calls.
- Write targeted cold outreach for passive engineering and research candidates.
- Use search tools and agentic workflows to discover and enrich candidate lists.
- Experiment with sourcing channels such as GitHub, conference attendee lists, Discord communities, and research publications.
- Partner with founders and engineering leaders to understand hiring profiles.
- Design and iterate on recruiting systems and workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience for engineering and research roles at a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience sourcing passive candidates.
- Strong written communication and concise storytelling skills.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and building processes without an established playbook.
- Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to use products in the recruiting workflow.
- Familiarity with the San Francisco startup ecosystem and engineering talent communities.
