Senior Software Engineer I/II (Digital Engineering)

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States; based at the Littleton site

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 USD per year, plus potential stock and cash incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation and modeling tools supporting aerospace systems, including flight and ground software.
• Build mission-level wargaming tools covering space, air, and ground domains.
• Develop products for analyzing laser communication constellation networks.
• Create cross-platform web applications for Windows and Linux using scalable architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Apply UI/UX practices to simulation and configuration tools and optimize performance for large-scale simulations and data processing.
• Collaborate on requirements, system architecture, design reviews, coding standards, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience for Senior Software Engineer I or 8+ years for Senior Software Engineer II, focused on simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular or a comparable frontend framework such as React or Vue.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, RESTful APIs, relational databases, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• For US office roles, candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Docker/Kubernetes, network programming, state management libraries such as Angular NgRx, and modern Git workflows.
• Experience with STK or similar space mission analysis tools and physical systems modeling.
• AI-assisted prototyping and software integration experience.
• Agile/Scrum experience, strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
