Software Architect (iGaming)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $185,400–$231,800 gross annual base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

What you will do

• Define and evolve architectural solutions that improve performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Design frameworks, tooling, and engineering standards that strengthen resilience and maintainability.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Platform, and Engineering teams on planning, design, and delivery.
• Contribute hands-on to prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production systems.
• Guide teams in adopting distributed system patterns with fault tolerance, observability, and operational maturity.
• Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and align architecture with business and platform strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience owning architectural components of high-availability, mission-critical platforms.
• Expertise in scalable design patterns, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling.
• Clear communication, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring skills.
