Financial Controller (Fintech)

hirify.global is a global technology company operating a large freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace, with businesses including Escrow.com and Loadshift.

What you will do

• Lead month-end, half-year, and year-end financial close processes.
• Manage consolidation and reporting for multi-currency subsidiaries across Freelancer, Escrow, and Loadshift.
• Prepare statutory financial statements under IFRS/AASB and coordinate regulatory filings.
• Own the global audit process and maintain internal controls across fintech and marketplace platforms.
• Manage international tax compliance, including GST/VAT, corporate income tax, and R&D tax incentive claims.
• Oversee cash flow, intercompany settlements, FX risk management, and financial process automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Mandatory CA or CPA qualification.
• 8+ years of progressive experience, ideally including Big 4 experience and a senior reporting or controllership role.
• Experience in an ASX-listed or high-growth technology environment.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS/AASB, complex consolidations, and international accounting treatments.
• Experience managing and mentoring a global finance team.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-volume transactional businesses, escrow accounting, or multi-currency platforms.
• Experience with ERP implementations or financial automation tools.
