Finance Manager

Location: Hobart, Australia; full-time on-site. No visa support.

What you will do

• Lead and support the Finance Team, providing day-to-day direction and operational oversight.
• Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting against budget to the executive team and Founders.
• Prepare financial statements and annual reports.
• Manage statutory compliance, tax obligations, audits and relationships with the ATO, ASIC, banking partners and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee accounts payable approvals, cash flow, banking activities and financial systems including Xero.
• Develop budgets, improve financial processes, and maintain internal policies, controls and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with CA or CPA certification and up-to-date CPD.
• Significant experience in a financial leadership role within a business environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory and consolidated reporting.
• Understanding of Australian taxation rules and regulatory requirements.
• Experience delivering accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Xero and Excel, along with strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
