Senior Buyer (Fusion Energy)

Location: San Leandro, California, United States

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation.
• Build supplier relationships, ensure compliance with purchase agreements, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to identify suppliers that meet design requirements.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Track KPIs, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives through reports.
• Improve procurement systems, processes, and overall supply chain performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, material planning, or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with supply chain software such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Global Supply Manager.
• Experience reviewing terms and conditions and master schedule agreements.
• Experience with Coupa.
• Startup experience or experience in aerospace, automotive, fusion, or energy.
