Salary: $138,500–$194,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

  • Translate mission requirements into production features with electrical, mechanical, and flight teams.
  • Develop hardware architectures for peripheral systems.
  • Develop, modify, and own embedded firmware for headsets, handsets, and future products.
  • Implement video conversion, correction, storage, compression, and streaming functions across FPGA, MCU, and embedded Linux systems.
  • Support product development from concept and rapid prototyping through full-scale production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems, embedded Linux, bare-metal development, and STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Significant FPGA experience, including clock-domain synchronization and familiarity with MCU/FPGA systems.
  • Experience with peripherals and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, DMA pipelines, ADC/DAC operation, and interrupts.
  • Working knowledge of camera interfaces, video formats, compression standards, hardware debugging tools, Git workflows, and FPV drones or UAVs.

Nice to have

  • High-speed data streaming between MCUs and FPGAs.
  • Part 107 FPV drone pilot license.
  • Soldering, 3D printing, and prototyping experience.
  • RTOS experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar systems.
  • GStreamer, FFmpeg, or FPGA/SoC video conversion experience.
