Diamond/Core Driller

What you will do

• Safely operate diamond and core drilling rigs according to company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and regulations.
• Inspect, set up, align, and collar drill rigs, rods, core barrels, pumps, and support equipment.
• Monitor drilling parameters to optimize core recovery and equipment performance.
• Handle and place recovered core in trays while maintaining accurate drilling records and daily reports.
• Identify changing ground conditions, communicate technical or geological issues, and respond to equipment failures and emergencies.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, minor mechanical repairs, housekeeping, and safety oversight for offsiders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diamond/Core Driller in mineral exploration or mining environments.
• Strong understanding of diamond drilling techniques, core recovery methods, and basic geology.
• Mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to work long shifts in remote or FIFO environments and in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license of the appropriate class.
