Staff Fullstack Engineer (PHP/Laravel)

SCAYLE is an enterprise commerce platform that helps brands and retailers build direct-to-consumer businesses. The Add-on Unit develops modular, plug-and-play e-commerce solutions that extend the SCAYLE commerce engine.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of modular add-ons across backend, frontend, and integrations.
• Design advanced Laravel backend logic, queues, events, and database schemas for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
• Oversee Vue.js micro-frontend integration with SingleSpa and maintain consistent performance and user experience.
• Lead CI/CD, semantic versioning, Docker environments, and stable release processes.
• Maintain production reliability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident response in AWS environments.
• Serve as technical lead and final reviewer while mentoring engineers and driving AI-assisted and agentic coding practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building, scaling, and operating complex fullstack web applications in production.
• Expert PHP 8.x and Laravel experience, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
• Strong frontend development skills with Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and modern state management.
• Expertise in secure, multi-tenant, distributed systems and maintainable architecture based on SOLID and DRY principles.
• Advanced MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, Redis caching, Docker, CI/CD, AWS, monitoring, and alerting experience.
• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring, code reviews, complex problem decomposition, and hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce or SaaS ecosystems.
• Experience with tools such as Claude Code or Cursor and a clear view of their production use cases.
